Clinging to dust....later

So I spent the day a little more aware of where my loyalties lie. I was surprised to recognize that not only do I cling to people and relationships but to even crazier things. Clinging to money and insurance (like I said, crazy) before I even approach God to help me out a little occurred more than once today. Yep, today was a good reality check on who I rely on the most. Needless to say, I'll definitely have to make an effort to trust in the Lord for everything.

On a lighter note, I totally blew the whole "private" online journal thing today. Until today, my husband was the only one who knew that I started this blog, or was even interested in starting one. This morning our local Christian radio station broadcast a show asking us to call in with our ideas for growing spiritually in the coming year. Being true to myself, I called before I even thought of the repercussions, and told everyone in the listening audience about this blog. I even gave them the address. So thank-you to the couple of comments thus far from people who now know my goofy God thoughts. I guess if I was ever after accountability in my journal, I received it today. That may not be so bad in the end.

  1. Hi Lana! Enjoyed your first blog posts.... yes, I heard you on WBCL this morning too. I had to laugh as I remembered you telling me at my last haircut that you "have no filter..." I'm glad you didn't 'filter' your website, but chose to share it on the radio - you have probably blessed more people than you know. Have a great remainder of your week!
